Day 130 - Motivation
I am feeling highly unmotivated today. I am super tired, mostly because I had a long day with a lot to do after I finished work. I am completely wiped and could really use a rest. So I am going to take the night off. But tomorrow I have several thing planned. I have to run to the store and pick up some baking supplies so I can make muffins and biscuits tomorrow night. Then I want to finish sewing the shirt I am making for my mother. I also have to run other to the fabric land again this week to pick up two more meters of fabric. I know I promised I would stay out of there for a while but after this trip I swear, no fabric land for a while. Promise. Night all!

Day 129 - huh again.
I did it again. I pushed off craft time to do stuff like making pies and picking up materials at Fabricland and of course cleaning. I had 4 days off and accomplished a grinder monkey. Blah. I was able to cut out the entire sports coat I am making for Keith as a surprise late wedding anniversary present. But I didn't get started constructing it yet because my wayward husband came home so I don't really want to do it in front of him. So I started a shirt for my mom. But I literally got nothing done. But when I finally do get time to myself, when I will actually allow myself to sew, I will just pound out the sewing projects as I have like 5 of them cut. Anyways, off to cut some more. Night all.
Day 128 - I am obsessed!
I am starting to think I am obsessed with pie. I went to the market again on Friday and picked up blueberries. Which meant I had to make more mini pies, blueberry ones this time. But I also got some apples. And they are perfect for pie as well. Yeah so now I have about a dozen mini pies, 3 different types, in my freezer. I promise this is the last time I write about pie. Well I can't promise that but fingers crossed right?
P.S. I wrote this before bed so It counts for the 5th of August!

Day 127 - Fez hats for all!
A chapeau for every head. The Grinder Monkey has a fabulous hat and everyone wants to get a turn to wear it. Although I honestly do think the monkey wears it best. A very jaunty cap. My Futurama fan really wants some for his Zoidbergs and a few other little critters he had running around. After a few more little projects I will have to crochet a dozen or so. Fun fun!

Day 125 - Excellence and Reality
Today I was complemented by a co-worker. That I seem to excel at everything I do. Now I know that I excel at a good many things but I don't always succeed. Sometimes you can try and try and try yet things still don't always turn out the way you want them to or even how they should. Something, some endeavors are forever beyond your reach, no matter what you do. I am not trying to be negative just realistic. I told my co-worker I may be good at sewing baking and crocheting but I am not athletic, so I focus on the things that I am good at. It's funny though, all the things I am good at, that make me oh so talented are skills every women learn 50 years ago. And that is the reality of my excellence.

Day 124 - Pieject continued.... & complete!
I bought three baskets of peaches at the farmer's market (Parkdale in Ottawa) on Sunday. Tonight I finished making mini pies to freeze. I have 7 mini pies for me!!! I made 5 for Keith, 1 for my boss, two for co-workers and 1 for my mom. 16 in total. Plus a large cobbler. I am sick of baking now. I am done. At least for a while. I think Pecan pies should be made in the fall. But until then I will be done with baking.
