Fingers crossed!

        Tomorrow everything should be finalized with my new work space. So fingers crossed. I am now getting pretty excited. I am starting to plan. I really want a spiral staircase. Here are some of my favourite staircases. 

Calling for snow

        For all of you that live outside of Canada here is a peak into our currently snowy situation. 

        Snow always make me think of snow apparel, hats coats and scarves. As I already have a new coat in the works maybe I should make a new hat, scarf and mittens. I was thinking of making one of those floppy beret looking ones. I think they are called a swirl hat. I'll look it up.

Will craft for furniture

        Looks like I am going to be trading my sewing skills for furniture. I am going to be working my little fingers to the bone to get stuff complete. Barter is the word of the day. I will be bartering for furniture. There are people at my work willing to trade. The more the better. I may even put an ad up on kijiji or something to see if I can trade for even more.

Thoughts of Hedgehogs

        As I was knitting the squirrels, as I have now completed two. I kept thinking to myself how the Zap wool would make a super kick-ass hedgehog. I know that it would too soft for spines but it could still be extremely cute right? Although crochet would be faster I think a knit hedgehog would be best because it would make it smoother, more refined looking. 

        Come one look at the little guy, tell me you don't want your very own hedgehog you can snuggle without fear of getting spine stabbed. You tell me that and I will call you a liar. For your viewing pleasure. Another hedgehog picture. 

More loft ideas

        I didn't even think about the stairs but now I am they could be a lovely colour, this one for instance. The Loft is a walk up so yeah I should think of  the stairs. They are a little steep right now, but we may be able to fix that. We will see. A sky on the wall what about grass on the floor? Or is that corny?

More painting ideas.

        This is a perfect night sky. I love the colours but would like the moon to be against a very dark blue background. A midnight blue.  Using sliver and white paint for the moon.

Planning my new space.

        If I could hope to dream about the new house, I would love to paint the loft as a sky, a night sky one end and a sunrise on the other end. I usually have a propensity towards penguins but owls are a close second.  Especially this little cutie.

Two Words

Bear Cowl

        A woman at my work wants me to make two of them for her daughters. I think they will be so cute on a couple of little blond girls. They kind of remind me of Ewoks. Just change the ears to brown and the cowl itself to orange and you have a Wicket running around. How cute! My co-worker found the pattern on Ravelry. You can too...bear!
